Le premier match du gala inaugural de VICTORY RING était entre l'acrobatique XANDER et le sombre JONATHAN GRIMM. Quand ce dernier a fait son chemin au ring, il a montré beaucoup de manque de respect envers l'invité spécial RAYMOND COUTU.
Lorsque Grimm tenta d'utiliser les cordes à son avantage pour faire un tombé, Coutu a balayé ses jambes des cables, lui enlevant son avantage illégal. Xander reprit l'avantage et gagna le combat avec son Xanton Bomb. Grimm, furieux après avoir perdu son match de tournoi, a défié Raymond Coutu à un combat pour le prochain événement de VICTORY RING le 15 novembre. Coutu a rapidement accepté, au grand plaisir des spectateurs présents! GAGNANT: XANDER |
The first match of the inaugural VICTORY RING live event was contested between the high-flying Xander and the darkhorse Jonathan Grimm, who managed to disrespect special guest Raymond Coutu as soon as he came to the ring.
When Grimm attempted to illegally use the ropes for leverage on a pinfall attempt, Coutu made his presence known, pushing Grimm's legs off as a response to the disrespect shown to him. Xander took advantage of a distracted Grimm, finishing him off with the Xanton Bomb to move on to the VICTORY RING championship tournament semi-finals. Furious over his loss, Grimm would challenge Raymond Coutu to a match at the next VICTORY RING live event on November 15th. Coutu promptly accepted, to the approval of the crowd! WINNER: XANDER |

Le colosse MG Animal a utilisé sa grandeur et sa force pour neutraliser l'offensive du corsaire du ring, Capitaine Pezz. Un C4 Explosion plus tard, le capitaine était au tapis pour le compte de trois, malgré un louable effort de ce dernier.

The colossal MG Animal used his size and strength advantage to neutralize the offense of Capitaine Pezz. Despite a great effort from the pirate of the squared circle, he fell victim to Animal's wicked C4 Explosion maneuver.

The brutish Celtic brawlers, the Cousins McHaggis , won their outing against the young, talented duo of Eddy ErDogan and Marc Mercer after a good, tough fight. In the end, Mercer fell prey to a massive body avalanche in the corner by Pat McHaggis, leading into the duo's "Last Call" assisted powerbomb maneuver for the pin.

PATRICK SHENZY & KARL JEPSON VS. REAPER NATION
Dans un match plein de rebondissements, le duo motard Reaper Nation a vaincu leurs adversaires dans un match à leurs règles: "Reaper's Rules", où tout est permis. Après avoir menotté Patrick Shenzy au coin du ring, le combat s'est vite changé en match handicap. Lorsque Jepson prit le dessus, il libéra Shenzy des menottes, mais ce dernier s'est retourné contre son partenaire, le frappant avec une chaise prise de la foule. Reaper Nation utilisa l'opportunité pour pendre la victoire.

After handcuffing Patrick Shenzy to a ring corner, the bout suddenly turned into a handicap match. Jepson managed to come back and get the handcuff key to release Shenzy. However, Shenzy seized the opportunity to turn on his partner, hitting him with a chair taken from the crowd. Reaper Nation used the opportunity to get the win.

La soirée fut également marquée par la controverse lors d'une finale inattendue: après avoir subi une blessure dans un accident de voiture, la jeune tête d'affiche, Billy Gibson, s'adressa à la foule pour se retirer du tournoi pour l’obtention de la ceinture de championnat nouvellement dévoilée. Le commissaire de la compagnie, monsieur Réjean Côté, dut intervenir: non seulement Gibson devait-il lutter pendant la soirée contre le talentueux Jeff Racette, mais il pouvait le faire avec le duo costaud et robuste des Cousins McHaggis dans un match 3 contre 1 rocambolesque où Racette fut propulsé à l’extérieur du ring sur la table des annonceurs qui éclata en mille morceaux! Gibson a profité de l'occasion pour effectuer un tombé, avançant de façon très controversée à la demie-finale du tournoi!

The evening was also marked by controversy with an unexpected main event: after suffering an injury in a car accident, the young headliner, Billy Gibson, addressed the crowd to withdraw from the tournament for the newly-unveiled championship belt. The commissioner of the company, Mr. Réjean Côté, made the decision: not only would Gibson compete against the talented Jeff Racette, but he could do so with the tough and rugged duo of Cousins McHaggis in a 3-on-1 handicap match! Racette managed to take the fight to the Cousins during the match, but was overwhelmed at the end and propelled out of the ring by Gibson onto the announce table, which broke into a thousand pieces! Gibson then took the opportunity to get the pin, advancing to the tournament semi-finals!
After getting the victory, Gibson and the McHaggises continued to beat on Racette, until the sudden arrival of Alex North and Xander, chairs in hand to drive them out of the ring. Xander took the microphone swearing that Gibson would not become VICTORY RING champion at November 15th at FOR GOLD AND GLORY!
